LG announced the new Arena, a mid level phone, which is expected to be the flagship phone of the company for the year 2009. Although the company managed to keep most of its specifications secret until now, some of them were announced in a recent press release.

The LG Arena is supposed to feature a very dynamic and powerful S Class UI which will be highly competitive, making the touch phone stand out from everything else we knew so far. It will come with a 3D user interface and it will feature a 5-megapixel camera with video recording abilities, Wi-Fi for super fast internet connections, GPS and 3G.  It will be a GPRS,EDGE and UMTSHSDPA 1.8 Mbit mobile phone, with HSDPA 3.6 Mbit abilities.
LG Arena will come with a very functional media player, capable of reproducing all known audio formats , as well as fully compatible with digital video files such as  Real Video and DivX. It will feature a 3 inches and 262 144 colours TFT touch screen, a microSD memory slot and Stereo Bluetooth v.2.0 .
The size of the phone will be 105.9 x 55.3 x 11.9 mm and its weight will be 105gr with the Li-on battery.

The LG Cookie Pink features a 3.0 inch wide touch screen which can be used in several ways, as it is suitable for games, videos and photo viewing. Moreover it is eminently customizable; the owner can drag and drop widgets to the main screen, ranging from clocks, calendar, or simply shortcuts to several features such as the integrated music player. The fact that it is quite big makes the physical touch easier, while the large icons are much easier to access and navigate through. Bigger is better and that also makes it easier to use by physical touch since larger icons are easier to navigate than smaller ones.
The onscreen sliding QWERTY keyboard comes into plain view while holding the LG-KP500 horizontally; the auto rotating display can shift images or documents allowing a much proper viewing from all sides.
